Here, on the far side of the Great Wall which separates mundane and divine, lies the Holy Country. Here lies the High Road, on which pilgrims march to their salvation in The City, the Divine Capital. This pilgrimage is a trial of body and soul. It is said that on this road, the world and half-world converge, that time and space are dictated by one’s inner mind. Daemons, nightmares, one’s regrets, those mortals who could not complete their journeys, all assail the traveler on this road. Those who cross the wall to make pilgrimage here must be dedicated, for there is no returning the way they came.

Thus, to this pilgrimage are called the truly determined, of which there are no few: the foolhardy; those with no other options, those with no more ties to the mortal world and nothing left to lose; outcasts, the convicted and condemned; those looking for a second life, who are said to be born anew in the Holy Capital. And there are some who long for something that cannot be described, nor ignored. You are one such determined. It is to you that The City calls.

The Road to Limina is a collaborative storytelling game. It blends the mechanics and ethos of popular narrative systems like Blades in the Dark and HEART, with the evocative character options and world-building of the OSR

Assume the role of a pilgrim resolute, or desperate, enough to traverse the mysteries of The Holy Country. Write the story of your life in a Chronicle—in the end, it may be all that is left of you.
